Just had a multi-fuel stove installed by Nick at East Coast Stoves and we are absolutely delighted with it. I cannot praise the company highly enough, they were so careful, precise and painstaking in every aspect of the work.
Cost, in my opinion, is not the prime consideration when purchasing something of this nature, but even so, East Coast Stoves’ quotation was considerably lower than any other that we obtained.
If you’re thinking of fitting a stove in the near future I am convinced you won’t find a better team than East Coast Stoves.

As a lover of the past, and how it is preserved, I was eager to find someone who could restore my open fire to something like its’ original state. I was also after a more efficient way of heating my house, which in the Winter months is akin to a cave: a constant temperature throughout the year, but never particularly warm. As soon as Nick cast his eye over the hearth, I knew that we had chosen well. Sheer exuberance, allied with technical skill, provided the essential ingredients for what has proven to be a magnificent restoration. From the curve of the arch to the cleaning of individual bricks to something like their original lustre, the attention to detail has been impressive; Nick was for example able to point out the three different types of stone forming the rear wall of the hearth (carrstone, chalk and flint for those of you who are inquisitive). The stove itself is beautiful and has turned our cave into something more inhabitable. I was also impressed with how Nick and his team kept us briefed and checked that we were happy with the work that they were doing. Moreover, the front room was left clean and tidy, leaving us only the most cursory of clean ups. All in all, we are most satisfied customers and feel that an essential part of the fabric of our Victorian cottage has been conserved and, indeed, beautified.

East coast Stoves supplied and installed a new multifuel stove. We were concerned with the mess and upheaval it would cause, as they had to remove the old one first, which was old and had been used for many years. We soon realised we had nothing to worry about, as the service we received from Nick was second to none and very professional. We would recommend Nick and his company to anyone.

I can 100% recommend East Coast Stoves and in particular, Nick, who recently installed our wood burner. The job was totally professional at every stage and attention to detail was amazing. We are absolutely delighted with the end result. Nick was extremely knowledgeable, the work was completed quickly and to a high standard with little disruption and the cost was very reasonable. If you want to find a tradesman who really cares about what he does, look no further!!

Having recently moved house we decided to replace the open fire with a multi stove. Having made a few phone calls we decided to use East Coast Stoves. The best & easiest decision I’ve ever made. Nick came round and gave us a quote and explained everything. I can’t rate Nick and his team highly enough. All furniture and carpets were covered and there was no mess at all and they cleared up at the end of each day. Like many we’ve debated getting a log burner for a while, and after last winter being so cold with an open fire, we decided to take the plunge. Best decision ever! Nick and his team really are excellent at what they do. From the first meeting I felt very comfortable around Nick and his work really is top class. He offered to put slate down on our hearth to finish it off and it looks great. The log burner is fabulous and we’ve used it numerous times already.
